Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics (MESI) has become the first Russian institution of higher education which has successfully undergone the procedure of external review with the use of European technologies.

20-23 June 2011 MESI underwent an external review of educational programs in Economics, Management and Applied Informatics to evidence their compliance with the ESG. MESI has become the first Russian institution of higher education which has successfully undergone the procedure of external review. The site visit of the NCPA Review Panel lasted four days. The Panel comprised native and international experts, as well as representatives of employers and students.

The Review Panel analyzed whether the quality of the educational programs delivered by MESI meet the Standards and Criteria for Public Accreditation developed by the National Center of Public Accreditation in accordance with the ESG-ENQA.

During the external review the members of the Review Panel studied the submitted documentation, organized a number of meetings with students, post-graduate students and graduates; representatives of the administration; the teaching and academic staff and the employers of MESI.

While summing up the results of the review the members of the panel noted a highly developed system of the university providing effective implementation of the educational programs; highly developed social infrastructure available to the diverse student body; availability of up-to-date library and information resources. Furthermore, the panel considers important to note the high corporate spirit and the kind atmosphere in MESI. The panel came to a common opinion that the reviewed educational programs meet the Standards and Criteria for Public Accreditation and the ESG-ENQA.
