St. Petersburg State University underwent a joint international external review of its educational programs carried out by two accreditation agencies: National Centre for Public Accreditation (Russia) and Education Quality Evaluation Agency of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (EQEA, China).

The External Review Panel comprised both international and Russian experts, as well as representatives from professional communities and the student body. Over the three-day review, the Panel held meetings with the university administration, heads of departments responsible for program implementation, faculty members, students, alumni, and employers.

Based on the findings of the external review, an External Review Report with areas for improvement of study programs is to be prepared. The decision on international accreditation of the educational programs will be made by the National Accreditation Board during one of its bi-annual meetings.
