From May 24 to May 27, 2025, the programs delivered by the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute for Retraining and Advanced Studies named after S.B. Daniyarov (Bishkek) and its Southern Branch (Osh) underwent an international accreditation. The review was organized by the National Centre for Public Accreditation (Russia) jointly with the Independent Accreditation Agency “Bilim-Standard” (Kyrgyz Republic).

Over the three-day period, the External Review Panels comprising academic experts from leading universities in Russia and the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as representatives of the professional and student communities, held meetings with the university administration and program managers responsible for program delivery. Meetings were also held with faculty members, students, alumni, doctoral candidates, and employers.

Based on the results of the external review, reports will be prepared, and recommendations will be made for the further development of the educational programs, the university, and its branch. The decision on international accreditation will be made at one of biannual meetings of the National Accreditation Board (Russia) and the Accreditation Board of Bilim-Standard (Kyrgyz Republic).
