On April 23, 2024 an international seminar «Russia-China Cooperation in Quality Evaluation of Higher Education» was held at Moscow State University of Psychology and Education. A hybrid format drew attention of 150 participants from different Russian regions.

Olesia Vikhristiuk, Vice Rector for Educational and Social Work, welcomed the participants as a host. She talked about the prospects that joint international accreditation gives to a HEI. Viktor Bolotov, Doctor of Pedagogy, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, Chair of the National Accreditation Board, also welcomed the participants.

Huiwu Zhang, Deputy Director of the Education Quality Evaluation Agency, Ministry of Education, P.R. China (EQEA) and Galina Motova, NCPA Director, President of the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) spoke at the seminar. The participants got an opportunity to dive into the system of higher education quality evaluation in China and Russia, they assessed advantages and disadvantages of a joint Russian-Chinese accreditation and discussed international trends in quality evaluation of HE in both countries.

«Joint accreditation that is carried out by China and Russia created a cooperation model being of great importance for “One Belt One Road” countries and contributing to mutual recognition of higher education and attraction of talented youth», Huiwu Zhang noted.

All participants noted a high organization level and professionalism of speakers; they also noted that such events contribute to improving quality of HE in both countries. The organizers expressed their hope for such events in the future.
