International External review of five clusters of educational programmes in the fields of study “Philology” (45.04.01), “History” (46.04.01); “Geology” (05.04.01); “Ecology and Nature Management” (05.04.06); “Mathematics” (01.04.01) and “Jurisprudence” (40.04.01) of Kazan (Volga region) Federal University was held on 14-15 March, 2017.
International External review of five clusters of educational programmes in the fields of study “Philology” (45.04.01), “History” (46.04.01); “Geology” (05.04.01); “Ecology and Nature Management” (05.04.06); “Mathematics” (01.04.01) and “Jurisprudence” (40.04.01) of Kazan (Volga region) Federal University was held on 14-15 March, 2017.
The external review was conducted in the framework of international accreditation under bilateral agreement of two Accreditation agencies: National Centre for Public Accreditation (Russia) and Accreditation Agency evalag (Germany). Both Accreditation Agencies are full members of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and they are officially registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).
It is the first experience for evalag to carry out International Accreditation in Russia. The procedure of joint Accreditation included large-scale preparatory work connected with the alignment of standards and criteria of accreditation, elaboration of instructional and methodological documents, translation of vast amount of materials etc. The work coordination of the Panels was conducted by representatives of both agencies.
The accreditation decisions will be made by the Accreditation Boards of NCPA and evalag before June, 2017. In the case of a positive accreditation decision the educational programmes obtain certificates of international accreditation of the two countries for the period up to 6 years.
