Saint Petersburg State University (SPbU) has received official confirmation of the high quality of its educational programs at the international level. During a ceremony at the university, certificates of international accreditation were presented by the Education Quality Evaluation Agency of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (EQEA, China) and the National Centre for Public Accreditation (NCPA, Russia).

This significant event marked the successful completion of a joint accreditation procedure conducted by NCPA and EQEA in October 2026. This initiative represents a unique example of bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education quality assurance.

NCPA congratulates the faculty and staff of Saint Petersburg State University on this outstanding achievement and expresses confidence that international recognition will serve as an impetus for further development and strengthening the position of Russian education at the global academic level. SPbU’s successful experience of joint accreditation creates a precedent for expanding this practice to other leading Russian universities.
