Shanghai Education Evaluation Institute, SEEI

Shanghai Education Evaluation Institute (SEEI), affiliated to Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, is earliest-established education evaluation institute in China, originating from Shanghai Higher Education Evaluation Agency founded in 1996. With years’ persistent efforts, SEEI has grown into the largest professional agency with the widest business scope in the field of education quality assurance in China.

SEEI Mission

SEEI adopts “The result of evaluation represents the voice of authority” as its motto and follows the principles of “providing service, improving quality, demonstrating capability, emphasizing research, enhancing professionalism, setting brand”.

SEEI Objectives

•Undertaking various kinds of education evaluation and accreditation from preschool to postgraduate level;
•Conducting examination and evaluation for quality of higher education subjects, specialties and faculties;
•Carrying out performance evaluation for local universities and colleges; 
•Organizing education evaluation research and academic exchange;
•Promoting education evaluation training and providing advisory service for district education evaluation institutions and schools under the guidance of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.

International Cooperation

SEEI pays great attention to domestic and international academic exchange and cooperation. It is not only the formal member of International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) and Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN), but also the location of APQN Secretariat.
