International accreditation offers wide-range opportunities and advantages. For students: increase of mobility and recognition of qualifications gained in the accredited HEI by all educational institutions and employers in the European Higher Education Area (promotion of employment). For higher education institutions: improvement of education quality, mutual recognition of the outcomes of quality assurance procedures between accredited HEIs, development of academic mobility, improvement of export capacity and recognition of a HEI and its programmes in the European Higher Education Area (competitiveness).

The international accreditation of Russian programmes is provided for by international agreements with the participation of the Russian Federation, and makes it possible to enhance credibility to education quality and to recognize outcomes of accredited programmes included in international registers.
