On August 27-30, 2018 the Third Global Summit "Quality Assurance for Higher Education 4.0– Issues and Challenges" organized by the Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) was held in Denpasar (Indonesia). More than 150 representatives of accreditation agencies, education authorities, higher education institutions and institutions of professional education took part in the Summit. Ainun Na'im, Secretary General of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Intan Ahmad, Director General of the Department for Learning and Student Affairs, Basa Ruddin, Director of the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education, and Jianxin Zhang, APQN President, opened the event.

The following issues were discussed at the Summit:
- Evaluation of Higher Education Quality in Times of Industrial Development 4.0.
- Influence of Higher Education 4.0 on the Principles of External Quality Assurance and Regional Infrastructures.
- Influence of Quality Assurance in Professional Education in Times of Industrial Development 4.0.
- How to Introduce Quality Culture in Higher Education Institutions.
- Quality Assurance for Online and Transnational Higher Education.

The meeting of the APQN General Council was held during the Summit.

The National Centre for Public Accreditation represented the Russian Federation.
