II Summit of Student Leaders of the SCO Countries

II Summit of Student Leaders of the SCO Countries was held in September, 13-16 in the Altai Region during the Russian Student Week. Korotkov Peter, Head of the Accreditation Office in the National Centre for Public Accreditation, was one of the leading experts on the Summit.

The Bologna Process, student-centred approach, education quality assessment, Federal Internet Exam for Bachelors and many other issues were discussed at the master class given by P. Korotkov.

«Independent assessment of education quality is important as it prepares higher educational institutions for internal evaluation actions, assessment of learning outcomes and is a way to influence the content of an academic course. Every year about 1000 participants and 500 higher and secondary VET institutions take part in education quality assessment!», P. Korotkov concluded.

II Summit of Student Leaders of the SCO Countries has become one of the most important events of the federal project «Russian Student Week». The training programme «School for Organizers of the Russian Student Week» is meant to initiate effective work on student movement development. Student leaders from different Russian regions have an opportunity to become the organizers of the Russian Student Week in the future.

The Summit precedes the Russian Student Week that will be held from 25 to 29 of September. Different events on legal education of youth, education quality issues, graduates employability and the UN sustainable development will be held in different regions of the country. On the final day of the conference the official closing of the National First-Year Student Day will be held.

The Summit is a part of the project «Russian Student Week». The project is supported by the government grant in accordance with the Presidential Executive Order of 05.04.2016 №68-рп, is financed on the basis of the competition by the National Non-Governmental Organization «Russian Union of Youth», and is financially supported by organizers, sponsors and partners.
