The ceremonial award of certificates of joint accreditation

The ceremonial award of certificates of international accreditation of educational programmes of the Kazan (Volga) Federal University by the accreditation agency evalag (Germany) and the National Center for Professional and Public Accreditation (Russia) took place on July 3, 2017.

The procedure of international accreditation was jointly conducted by two accrediting agencies: the evalag Accreditation agency (Germany) and the National Center for Public Accreditation (Russia). Both agencies are full members of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education ENQA and are officially registered in the European Register of Quality Assurance for Higher Education (EQAR).

It has been the first experience for evalag to carry out International accreditation in Russia. The procedure of joint accreditation included a lot of preliminary work connected with the alignment of the standards and criteria of accreditation, development elaboration of instructional and methodological documents, translation of vast amount of materials etc. The coordination of the work of the Panels was conducted by representatives of both agencies.

The accreditation decisions were made by the Accreditation boards of NCPA (June 29, 2017) and evalag (June 26-27, 2017). The KFU educational programmes “Algebra”, “Analysis on Manifolds”, “Comprehensive Data Analysis in Petroleum Geology”, “Systemic Ecology and Modeling”, “International Protection of Human Rights”, “Russian as a Foreign Language”, “History of Russia: Sociocultural and Ethnopolitical Research” were awarded certificates of international accreditation  for the period up to 6 years.
