On December 1, 2015 the National Centre for Public Accreditation was officially registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). Russia is for the first time among countries which have an EQAR-registered QA agency.

Up to the present 40 agencies from 21 countries were registered in EQAR. Russia became the 22nd country from 48 participants of the Bologna process. The Register was created upon the initiative of the European Commission and the EHEA Ministerial Conference. Its main task is to mprove trust to the quality of higher education in the European Higher Education Area. Any institution of higher education has the freedom to turn to any EQAR-registered agency for its external quality assurance reviews, and in which qualifications are thus universally recognised.

NCPA inclusion in EQAR will promote trust to the quality of education in Russia as well as recognition of a high level of the best educational programmes and attract foreign students and teachers.
