A series of seminars on review of new educational programs was held on the basis of Mari State Technical University on 20-22 March 2012 in the city of Yoshkar-Ola, Mari El.

National Centre of public accreditation with assistance of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Mari El  organized the review of educational programs in the field of forestry.

Three day workshop brought together more than 167 representatives of the academic community from 11 regions of Russia (Kirov Region, Novgorod Region, Orenburg Region, the Republic of Mari El, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Irkutsk Region, the Republic of Bashkortostan, Penza Region, Perm region and Yaroslavl Region).

The seminar was attended by the representatives of educational institutions, representatives of employers, representatives of regional bodies of executive power in charge of education administration.

The first day of the workshop was devoted to the modern mechanisms for assessing and monitoring of the quality of training and registration requirements of employers in the development of the network of educational programs:

	V.G.Navodnov «The new legislative and regulatory legal framework regulating the activities of educational organizations».
	The head of the Resource Center of Chuvash Republic, the director of college A.A.Sudlenkov shared his experience in the questions of technology and review content of educational programs.
	E.V.Kondratenko made a report on «Methods of assessing of educational and methodical complex of programs and disciplines».
	The model of a regional system of education quality assessment was presented in the report of V.A.Krasilnikova.

The second day of the workshop was devoted to the modernization of the network of educational institutions for training engineers and skilled workers for the forest industry-based resource center. The seminar was opened with the report of Deputy Head of the State Employment Service Department of the Republic of Mari El A.A.Yarygin "Monitoring of employers' requests to the staff".

G.N.Motova, Deputy Director of the National Center of Public Accreditation, opened her speech with a report "The principles of quality assurance systems at the level of the educational organisations".

The head of the department of Scientific and Methodological Center for Vocational Education of the Republic of Mari El  N.M.Cherkasova made a report on "The structure of vocational education and training program and methodical complex of educational programs of secondary education."

Requirements for the logistics of educational institutions were presented by A.A.Shurgin, A.V.Volkov, I.N.Nehaev:

                                               

 

The second day ended with a round table where experts A.N.Yarutova, T.G.Nikolaeva (Training Center of the Ministry of Education and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Chuvashia), O.N.Nazarova, L.E.Alyunkina (Vetluzhsky Forestry College) discussed organization issues of networking and peer review mechanisms.

In order to develop the institutional framework of external review of new educational programs the third day of the seminar was dedicated to the examination of network programs and individual modules corresponding to technological, organizational and economic conditions in the sphere of forest industry.

The review was held in the form of focus groups which consisted of the representatives of educational institutions, users of the resource center, representatives of employers, representatives of regional executive authorities exercising control in the field of education.
