ENQA General Assembly - 2011

 

ENQA General Assembly, Bucharest, Romania, 6-7 October 2011.

The ENQA General Assembly was hosted by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS).

Achim Hopbach, President of ENQA, opened the General Assembly Forum with the introduction for the day “ENQA on the move: New projects and new location”. After that Fiona Crozier, Vice-President of ENQA, gave an interim report on the theme “Mapping the Implementation and Application of the ESG (MAP-ESG project)”.

Several working groups were created within the framework of the 1st day of the Assembly.

These groups discussed the following issues:
Group 1 – Political Frameworks and their implications on Quality Assurance (facilitator: Achim Hopbach)
Group 2 – Evaluating the impact of Quality Assurance (facilitator: Tine Holm)
Group 3 – Quality Assurance and its impact on the recognition of degrees (facilitator: Rafael Llavori)

The ENQA General Assembly was devoted to the issues of the ENQA’s activities. Day One ended with a plenary session, where Josep Grifoll, ENQA Board, gave an interim report on the theme “Quality Procedures - Visions for the Future (QP Project 2011)”.

 

The questions under discussion were:

  • - Endorsement of admission of new and reconfirmed ENQA members
  • - Consideration and approval of amendments to
  • the ENQA statutes
    - Ballot for the election of the Board
    - Ballot for the election of the President and the Vice-Presidents
    - Approval of ENQA work plan for 2011/12
