The General Assembly of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education ENQA, organized by ENQA in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) of the United Kingdom held from 20 to 21 October 2016 in Gloucester, United Kingdom.

More than 100 delegates took part in the Assembly. The National Centre for Public Accreditation in the person of Deputy Director G. N. Motova, the National Accreditation Agency and the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Career Development (AKKORK) represented Russia.

The President of ENQA Padraig Walsh and QAA's Chief Executive Douglas Blackstock opened the first day of the General Assembly with a welcome speech.

The issues of the development in quality assurance in the Asia-Pacific region, experience of carrying out expert examination based on the standards of ESG-2015, risk-based approaches to quality assurance, digitalization of higher education – challenges and possibilities for quality assurance were considered at the Assembly. The poster session on the best practices of ENQA members also was represented there.
